Anyone else feeling like singing Ricky Martin now?

Anyone think Ricky Martin is so hot?

If you don’t, then I highly recommend you go watch the Ricky Martin special of Glee.

Anyways, let me tell you about something as equally life changing as Ricky Martin’s dreaminess.

Gabbie’s Goodies!

Gabbie’s Goodies is run by a local husband and wife team who make homemade gourmet bon bons.

Let me tell you a few fun facts about these sweet treats.  They…

…are made with the highest quality nut butters
…are gluten-free
…are made with all natural ingredients
…have no added preservatives
…don’t have any artificial dyes or extracts
…are individually hand dipped

And most importantly:

They are so freakin’ bon-bon-alicious that I could eat the entire sampler box in one sitting.

Okay, I didn’t really eat the entire box at once.  But I could have.  And I wanted to.  These things are seriously yummy.  I think one of my favorite products that’s been sent my way as part of Fitness & Feta yet!

What I like best about them is that they make for the perfect sweet treat without indulging in an enormous serving of dessert.  Unless you eat the whole box.

Here’s a breakdown of the flavors that I received in the mail (2 of each!):

Peanut Butter

This one was my favorite!  I know, I know, NOT shocking at all considering my obsession with anything chocolate and peanut butter flavored.  These have a natural peanut butter center topped with dark Belgian chocolate.  Ummm, how many is considered just one serving?!

Toasted Almond

This one has a subtle mix of almond butter and organic coconut in the middle, with a dark chocolate outside.  Tasty, but this one didn’t really stand out to me as much as some of the other ones did.  Maybe because I tried it after inhaling the peanut butter ones.

Pistachio Chai

I didn’t have high hopes for this one.  I mean when you see a name like pistachio chai among the others, it just doesn’t bring about the same excitement.  But I was pleasantly surprised!  This bon-bon has white chocolate surrounding the pistachio, and then a chocolate drizzle on top.

Macadamia Coconut

LOVED this one.  I think there’s just something about a subtle coconut flavor that excites me.  I hate when it’s overbearing!  This bon bon houses a homemade macadamia nut butter and organic coconut extract in the center, it’s dipped in white chocolate, and then sprinkled with organic unsweetened coconut.

Cashew Cayenne

I don’t do spicy, so I was a little nervous for these.  These are made by grinding lightly toasted organic cashews into a cinnamon topped nut butter.  Then they are dipped in dark chocolate infused with cayenne pepper, and sprinkled with cinnamon turbinado sugar.  They definitely had some heat to them, so probably not a product for wimps like me.  I definitely liked the added crunch though!  It’s a nice touch.

Butter Pecan

Yum, yum, holy creamy yum!  Roasted pecans grinded in a salty sweet nut butter, butterscotch extract, and the same crunch that I loved on the top.  Seriously, the crunch is awesome, people!

I love the inspiring story behind Gabbie’s Goodies too.

“I have been making Peanut Butter Bon Bons for 15 years.  My Mom made them before me.  I remember as a child getting so excited about them.  Everyone got excited about them!  he passed away when I was fourteen years old. Her wonderful goodies are one of my fondest memories.  As an adult I started making them for my family and friends at Christmas.  I changed a few things using bittersweet chocolate and making sure they were gluten free.  Every year people would tell me that I should start a business and bless everyone with these goodies.  When my daughter Gabbie was little she would anticipate these bon bons each year just like I did when I was a child.  A few years ago (ok maybe it was more than a few…more like 10!) Gabbie’s Goodies was born in my mind. Fast forward to 2012 and here we are.”  -Sabrina Key

  1. Chocoloate Peanut Butter sounds the best to me! YUM! I noticed at the bottom of the website, it had the Chocolate Therapy logo? Is Gabbie’s Goodies affiliated with them? bc I love Chocolate Therapy!

    • Sarina,
Chocolate Therapy carries several of our flavors. We love them too! As a matter of fact I will be delivering a fresh batch of peanut butter today.

  2. Yum, all of these flavors look amazing! Though I’ll have to say I would be the most excited to try the traditional peanut butter bon bons. Peanut butter and chocolate is one of my favorite combinations!

  3. They all sound great- very hard to pick just one! Maybe the coconut macadamia dark, or the butter pecan would be my favorites? But pretty much anything with chocolate and nuts makes me happy :)

  4. I liked Gabbie’s Goodies on Facebook! (and already liked FF). I already follow FF too- not sure if I get another entry for that since it’s not new?

  5. Uncle Danny@ Twists and Shout says:

Wow…I am obviously too late for the Bon-Bon Giveaway…but that is OK, I gave up that sweet-stuff for Lent and with little effort have dropped about 5 lbs!;…moved back a whole notch on the belt and working to move back one more. Having said that…with work, taxes and all, I am not getting enough time to shake my own bon-bon which we all know will obviously help in sliding the scale downward. Oh well, the nice weather yesterday gave me incentive to keep trying since bathing suit weather is coming….(“Ah, that is creepy Uncle Danny!”..quoted by my niece Leanne) Oh well, gonna click over to Gabbies website and order some B-B’s for Easta! Ciao!
