Fuel Your Holidays is your guide to delicious and festive fare through the holiday season. It contains 30+ recipes that can be enjoyed not only during December, but all year long.
My goal is to help people view food during the holidays as something that brings merriment and joy instead of stress and anxiety.
Food is not the enemy.
Many people tend to get too caught up in calories and fear of weight gain that they then forget about the wonderful meaning, memories, and traditions that food can help create. Especially during this time of year.
This holiday season, think about focusing on the experiences surrounding food instead of thinking too much about the consumption of food.
Spending time with your kids in the kitchen while carols play in the background.
Making an annual Christmas morning breakfast with your significant other.
Savoring each bite of a festive dish you made as you eat it amongst friends.
When you cultivate a feeling of gratitude about the active role you play in the preparation of your holiday food or you stop to appreciate what being around food actually means in the moment, all of a sudden overconsumption anxiety doesn’t seem so important, does it?
Food is something that can bring an incredible amount of happiness. In fact, my husband and I love spending time in the kitchen together, especially during this time of year. While many people view cooking as yet another thing on their to do list or a holiday stressor, we actually use the act of cooking to help us slow down and enjoy the time spent together, wine in hand of course! Our families always know they can expect us to show up with a couple of new homemade and festive recipes, and we’ve created some fun holiday traditions around many of them.
This year, I want to bring some of our favorite festive dishes into your home. This is how the idea for Fuel Your Holidays was born.
Whether you’ll be entertaining this year, bringing a dish to a holiday party, or simply want to switch up what you’re cooking at home, the recipes in Fuel Your Holidays will inspire you and help you create new memories and experiences this holiday season.
The recipes in Fuel Your Holidays are broken down into the following categories: appetizers, main dishes, salads, sides, desserts, and drinks. The recipes are simple to make, they use seasonal favorites like cranberries and winter squash and pomegranates, and the preparation is in line with my spruce method for making healthy food actually taste good.
While the majority of the recipes in Fuel Your Holidays are nutritious, you’ll also find a few sweet treats and adult beverages as well. Because having a hot cocoa cupcake with homemade whipped cream frosting every once in a while is healthy too. 😉

“I can’t rave about it enough. I downloaded it on Saturday and three of the 30 recipes inside are already part of my meal prep for this week. It’s a great price for a wonderful collection of recipes designed to take the stress and anxiety out of holiday eating, and there are even a few fun options for your Naughty List. Absolutely 100% worth it.” -Steve C.
